This is a story about a 12-year-old boy :

 

Let’s call him Tommy. Tommy was an average, ordinary boy just like any other kid. The only thing that distinguished him between any other kids on the block was that Tommy immensely loved his computer, or rather, the internet.

Tommy would spend hours and hours on end just sitting in front of his computer looking up random facts with search engines.

 

One day, Tommy came across something called an affiliate program. Tommy was intrigued. He was very startled and surprised that someone could make so much money from something so simple. So from that day on, Tommy kept looking up different affiliate programs and telling the people around him about these programs. But Tommy’s good advice fell on deaf ears. No one, not even his closest friends, would believe him. You can’t blame them though.

 

After all, who would trust a twelve-year-old with money? Even his relatives thought that he was crazy to even suggest such things at the dinner table.

 

Everyone told him to give it up. His friends made fun of his ideas and wouldn’t play with him. Eventually, Tommy stopped telling everyone around him about these programs. In fact, he stopped seeing everyone around him all together. 

 

Tommy spent all his time in front of his computer. He was convinced that there was some way to make money out of all these ideas on the internet. All he needed to do was to figure out how to do it.

 

One day, Tommy came upon an advertisement that really caught his attention. He decided to see what they had to offer, so he joined up for their weekly E-letters. What the heck, Tommy thought, after all, it’s free and I’ve got nothing to lose.

 

So week after week the letters came. And Tommy absorbed all the ideas into his tiny little brain and started thinking about a plan to make money. Following the letter’s advice, Tommy placed almost a million ads online. Then he built his own website and leant how to use it to make money.

 

Finally, after over 2 weeks, Tommy finally earned his first batch of money. The amount was not significant, but Tommy felt proud. Tommy then went on to remodel his site so that it would look more professional.

 

Mind you, this is a twelve-year-old kid, how professional could it get? But nevertheless, people bought his product and he’s now earning over two thousand dollars a month.
